The Winter Solstice Festival is a community event series of free family-friendly outdoor events to make light of the darkest days of winter.

Events include:

12/14 Opens; 12/21 Voting - Winter Lights Walk in Griffin Park Tree Viewing and Voting Event. Come to the Morris Thompson Cultural & Visitors Center and vote for your favorite tree! Voting takes place in the plaza.
12/14-12/15, 11am-6pm - Holiday Bazaar at the Morris Thompson Cultural & Visitors Center
12/19-12/21 - Moose on the Loose, a scavenger hunt at your favorite local shops. Stop by a participating location to get your passport!
12/21, 6pm - Reindeer & Elf Photos in Golden Heart Plaza. All pictures will be posted for the public to view.
12/21, 8pm - Solstice Fireworks presented by Alyeska Pipeline in Golden Heart Plaza. Bundle up and enjoy the show!
